Collecting, preserving and interpreting local history and heritage for everyone.

The Dungog Historical Society Inc. was formed in 1963 to foster and preserve local history and heritage. In 1968 the Society opened the Dungog Museum, which is in the former School of Arts building and run by volunteers.

The Dungog Historical Society holds both local and family history resources, which are available to researchers.

History Week and Dungog Show

The Society has displays each year in the Dungog Library for History Week, the first week in September and also at the annual Dungog Show, which is held on the second Friday and Saturday of November.
